You can make a difference to the life of a child.

We are a local group (Link) of the internationally recognised UK registered charity Chernobyl Children's Lifeline (CCLL) founded in 1992 by
Victor Mizzi OBE MBE.
Links throughout the UK bring different groups of children with accompanying leader/s from Belarus and northern Ukraine for up to 4 weeks respite care holidays each year as well as being involved in a variety of humanitarian projects in the 2 countries.
The children are affected by the ongoing consequences and legacy of the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident in April 1986. The emerging picture of impact on the children's health born since the disaster gives cause for concern with genetic blood disorders, soft organ defects, cancers such as thyroid, digestive difficulties and deficient immune systems. Their health problems are compounded with social and economic hardship.
Our Link hopes to help such children by boosting their immune systems and making a real difference to their health and personal resolve.
We are currently focused on a core activity of recruiting host placements and raising funds to bring children with a leader to Galloway for up to 4 weeks health recuperation holiday each year.
Imagine: Eating food that may harm you but what else can you do?
Imagine: Living life in a radioactive contaminated environment.
There is no escape. Money cannot buy protection.
Imagine: Coming to Galloway and eating fresh food, drinking cleaner water
and having your immune system recharged.
Imagine: Knowing that people do care.
We hope you find these pages informative and friendly.
